No Me Sigas (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) out now on all streaming platforms
Craig Davis Pinson is a composer and researcher of music for audiovisual media and the concert hall from Mexico City. He holds a bachelor of music from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee and a doctorate in composition (cognate in musicology) from Northwestern University.
He composed the score for “No Me Sigas”, the first Spanish-language film by Blumhouse Productions, as well as the music for the 2026 Infiniti Mexico publicity campaign. His music has been a part of the Morelia International Film Festival and the Mórbido Festival of Horror and Fantasy Cinema.
His concert music has been premiered by ensembles such as International Contemporary Ensemble, Spektral Quartet, and Civic Orchestra at Chicago Symphony Center, and has been featured in new music festivals in Mexico, Italy, and the United States. Pinson is a member of the Mexican Society of Authors and Composers (SACM).
His musicological research has focused on the relationship between music, sound, and aesthetic politics in contemporary Mexican cinema. His doctoral dissertation was published by Northwestern University, and his research has been a part of the Music and the Moving Image conference at New York University and at Roosevelt University.
Currently, Pinson is adjunct professor in Mexico City at Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Department of Media and Digital Culture), and has worked as part-time faculty at Northwestern University and Columbia College Chicago in the fields of music composition, musicology, and sound studies.
He leads the experimental chamber orchestra Pinson Chamber Band and is a member of the free improvisation trio Fat Pigeon. Performances include New Music Chicago’s Ear Taxi Festival, Omaha Under the Radar, Cleveland Uncommon Sound Project’s Re:Sound Festival, Hairpin Arts Center’s LATINxARTS Festival, Experimental Sound Studio, Elastic Arts, and Reclusa Mexico City.
